Art has long been a way for people to connect and express their unique backgrounds. At the Cultural Arts Show closing ceremony, students and teachers gathered to view artwork representing different cultures and perspectives.
The Cultural Arts Show, organized by the Cultural Arts Club, was created to give students a space to celebrate their heritage and allow others to learn from experiences different from their own.
“There’s so much conflict and misinformation going around nowadays. I wanted to address that by celebrating creativity,” said junior Eve Harbichit.
Bringing the exhibition to life took months of preparation, from promotions through StudentSquare announcements and classroom visits to reviewing submissions.
“This has been one of the most fulfilling learning experiences of my high school career! I couldn’t be more grateful for the turnout this show has had,” said junior Sienna Lucio.
Looking ahead, the club leaders hope to expand the Cultural Arts Show and involve more underclassmen to eventually carry the exhibition forward as a school tradition.
